At Masqar, we support two payment methods:
The client has registered and verified at least one payment method on Masqar before they hire a translator.
When clients and translators reach an agreement, and the booking is completed, the payment for the job is automatically deducted from the client’s payment method.
Then, the payment goes to the translator after retaining Masqar’s fees.
The client books a translator for an in-person service, and adds a payment method.
When service is completed, the client pays 100% of the value to the translator/interpreter in cash.

Clients will make requests and you’ll get to choose which ones to take.
There is no "secret" to get jobs more often. We encourage you to perform flawlessly, always proofread your deliverables and make sure you meet all of your clients' needs.
If you do that, our rating and reviews system will show clients your commitment and talent. The more positive reviews you get, the higher the chances new clients will hire you.
Make sure you've discussed all relevant aspects of the project with your client BEFORE agreeing on the terms. Later, you can always ask for clarification.
Remember: the client is relying on your talent to perform a translation task. They might not have the expertise in the target language they're hiring you for, so it's your responsibility to make them look good and double or triple-check the quality of the files to find any misspellings or grammar mistakes.

We usually encourage our clients to hire locals to save money on transportation and accommodations. Still, if the client wants you for the job even if you're far, they're responsible for your expenses as you travel to meet their needs.
Always discuss the details of the job with your client to avoid misunderstandings. That starts from making sure your meeting takes place near your place of residence, or that they'd be willing to pay for your travel expenses.

You should have a decent internet connection, a desktop, laptop computer or mobile phone, word-processing software, and a camera and headset if you're looking for an audio translation or expect to participate in conference-calls.
Some clients will ask for particular hardware or software to meet their requirements. It is common to see them ask for Machine-Translation Software, top-notch headsets for conference-calling and interpretation services, and other complementary pieces related to the localization industry.
Make sure you meet all hardware and software requirements before offering your services for a particular assignment.
We encourage our translators to take requests for samples with caution. If the client asks for a short translation to get a hold of your style, that would be perfectly fine. Think about it as a "free sample" from a marketing point of view.
Beware of clients that ask for big "tests," since they could be taking advantage of your goodwill to get the work done for free.
We encourage our customers to engage in conversation using Masqar's platform by using our chat or video call tools.
As stated in our Terms & Conditions, reasons for suspension are:
• Failure to comply with all the policies made available to you on these Terms & Conditions.
• Misconduct, fraudulent payments, or activities.
• Engaging in unfaithful practices, such as stating false field(s) of expertise, luring clients into thinking that the price of your service is lower and then asking for extra compensation, taking advantage of the clients' urge for the documents, providing false information at registering.
• Taking action(s) that may undermine ratings or feedback.
• Posting or distributing spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, bulk or unsolicited electronic emailing practices.
• Commercializing or seeking for profit from any MASQAR application, software, or information associated with MASQAR.
• Engaging in communication with the client outside MASQAR's platform unless it's necessary.
• Creating multiple MASQAR accounts.
• Posting a fake picture on your profile.
Report the client to customer service as soon as you can. It'll protect you and help prevent others from this.

Masqar has a built-in message center. You're able to receive and send messages as you see fit.

Of course not. You decide when, where, and how to work. If you consider the budget is too low, or you're simply not convinced about the terms, just say no. It's better to move along and not make any rash decisions.
It is not allowed to share your personal information. Masqar has a great communication platform, and it is essential for your safety to have all conversations with your client through the platform.
Do not share your banking information with clients, such as account numbers, credit card information, etc.

Your username is your email address. If you don't recollect your password, click on Forgot Password at Masqar's home page and follow the instructions.
Go to your account and click below the current picture on "update." You'll be asked to choose a new image from your computer or mobile phone–you may also do this from the App.

A Non-Disclosure agreement–also called a Confidentiality Contract, is a legally binding agreement that protects the client from third-parties from sharing their information.
As stated on Masqar's Terms & Conditions, a translator should never sell, show, or share information from their clients with any third-parties.
There's nothing wrong about signing an NDA. It's usually a token of reliability. Just take the time to read the entire contract before signing it, just as you would with any other legally binding document.
