Masqar has a strong policy of not selling your personal information to third parties.
Masqar will not share any of your personal information without your approval.
Any personal data that you give to Masqar over the course of the registration process, or other uses of their service, will be secured with industry-standard protocols and technology.
Masqar is an online platform that connects Clients with Translators. When you visit Masqar, you provide two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected by Masqar and website use information gathered by Masqar as you interact with the Masqar website (www.masqar.com).
When you register with Masqar as a Translator or as a Client, you provide certain personal information, including your name, your e-mail address, and your home or office address.
Also, when you open a Translator or Client profile, you will provide information relating to your language skills, previous experiences, level of education, compensation parameters, availability, and region. Translators should not share their contact information (i.e., name, address, phone, e-mail address, etc.) to Clients who conduct searches of the Masqar database or try to contact them outside the platform unless strictly necessary.
When you enter the Website, Masqar collects your IP address. This information is gathered from all Masqar visitors. Also, Masqar stores certain information from your browser employing "cookies." Masqar uses ID cookies to confirm that Translators and Clients are using the service. These cookies end once the Translator or Client closes the browser. By default, Masqar uses a cookie that stores your log-in ID (but not your password) to make it easier to log in back in the service. Masqar Translators and Clients should have cookies enabled at their browser's preferences.
Masqar is the unique owner of the information collected through the website.
When at Masqar, you may be asked for some personal information. This might happen through our website, applications, e-mails, phone calls, or meetups.
We may collect, request, or process the following data:
Account Data - username, password, profile picture.
Contact Data - e-email address, phone number.
Location Data - physical address, billing address, time zone.
Identity Data - full name, proof of identity (e.g., driver's license, ID card, passport), proof of address, the photograph of the user.
Financial Data - banking information, including, but not limited to, credit card information, account information, payment platforms' information.
User-Generated content - previous projects, descriptions, their profiles, reviews from Translators and Clients, pictures of themselves or their companies/portfolio, messages, etc.
We keep stored all communications we have with our Translators and Clients, including the products, services, and customer support we have provided. This includes the interactions our Translators and Clients have with our platform, such as when a Translator and Client has viewed a page or clicked a button.
To deliver specific services, such as meetups, we may passively collect your GPS coordinates, where available from your device. Most devices will display a permission request for you to share such information.
When Translators and Clients contact us, we may collect information from the e-mail address used.
Masqar may collect personal data from you and about you from the projects Clients and Translators sign for, and the way they interact with us or other Translators and Clients of Masqar. For example, to provide Translators and Clients with the best possible service at Masqar, we (or third-parties we have hired) may use cookies (small files stored in your browser) and other technology that may collect personal info.
At Masqar, we receive technical information from usage. We use these data to analyze how people use the service, to improve our functions, save your account info for future log-ins, and to provide advertisements that may or may be of use to you.
Metadata - Your IP address, PC and connection information, the web page that referred you to Masqar, log information, languages, time zone, etc.
Device Information - identifier, type, plugins, hardware preferences, etc.
Location - GPS data.
Actions - pages visited, buttons clicked, viewing time, etc.
Masqar and their third-party service providers may collect certain information automatically from you, including analytics and third-party content providers, whenever you use the service. This information may include, among other news, browser and operating system you employ, URL or advertisement that sent you to Masqar's service, search terms that brought you to the service, zones of service that you have visited, links you have clicked on, pages or content you have viewed–and for how long, as well as other similar data and statistics about your communications, such as response times, downloads and length of visits to pages and additional data shared when your browser of choice interacts with websites. Masqar may unify automatically-collected information with other data we collect about you to improve our services and our marketing strategy, analytics, and overall website functionality.
The information we collect also includes the IP address or other unique device identifiers for any device (mobiles, phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) used to access the service.
Masqar will not sell or rent any collected information to third parties. Masqar will not share your information with others except in connection with possible translation work or meetups. All registered users at Masqar have agreed to Masqar Privacy Policy and Terms of service as soon as they register for the service. All Translators and Clients agree that certain portions of their profile information are accessible to other Translators and Clients.
Masqar records IP addresses for software administration purposes. This information is used to diagnose problems, monitor patterns, view trends, administer the service, track Translators and Client patterns, and identify areas of the site to deliver content most relevant to registered Translators and Clients. IP addresses are not a link to personal information and are only used to gather demographic data.
Masqar reserves the right to share aggregated demographic information with its partners and advertisers. Such data will not be added to personal information that identifies registered Translators and Clients, except in the case of fraud.
Masqar takes industry-standard protocols and technology to protect registered Translator and Client information.
Masqar will use your data to handle your requests, and we will ask only for information that is relevant and never excessive to accomplish them. When we send you information for any purpose, it may be assigned by e-email or through your Masqar's message board. When Masqar asks you for personal data, it might be used under the following scenarios:
• contact you to inform you of products and services we will be providing;
• send updates on issues we think will be of interest to you;
• send information on our products and services;
• use your data for marketing purposes and market research;
• use your data internally to provide you with the services offered by us via this website, to administer this website and to help us improve our services;

Masqar sends all newly registered Translators and Clients a welcome e-mail to verify their e-mail addresses. Sometimes, Masqar sends service announcements to its registered Clients and Translators. Registered Users are obliged to receive service announcements that discuss changes that affect their Masqar accounts. Also, Masqar communicates with registered Translators and Clients via personal e-mails or phone calls to provide certain services.
Registered Translators and Clients receive monthly e-newsletters containing information on Masqar products, services, and announcements. Occasionally, registered Translators and Clients receive e-postcards that highlight special Masqar reports and features. Registered Translators and Clients can opt-out of the above listed communications.
Masqar may modify, add, or delete information from this Privacy Policy as we see fit, mostly to keep up to software upgrades and general policies.
To let you know exactly when we make changes to this Privacy Policy, Masqar adds the last revision date at the end of this document. The new modified or amended Privacy Policy will apply from that las version's date.
